Creative Garden Bench Decorating Ideas

A bench will be the perfect choice for your garden. These are great for relaxing and chatting together. Traditionally, benches were made for sitting side-by-side and looking at the scenery. Modern designers have found a way to solve this problem: they created comfortable, spacious garden benches and plinths. Modern garden benches can be modified for various purposes, which is a departure from traditional garden benches. The famous kissing bench is an example of this. It places the user face-to-face in a talking position.

A planter can be another way to incorporate your bench into your garden. A garden bench can also be made from cinderblocks. A pallet bench can be made if space is limited. For details, ensure you leave enough pallet parts unutilized. Green cushions will add comfort to your bench. You can also stain the cinderblock benches in any color you like.

One design is the traditional, comfortable garden benches with wooden seats. An integrated garden bench can make a great sitting area. A bench can be constructed with storage below the seat, making it convenient for storing cushions and other items. Modern benches often have storage underneath the seat. This gives you an area to store pillows or blankets. Besides being comfortable, a garden bench can also add a touch of beauty to your garden.

A colorful bench is another great design addition to a garden. A colorful bench is an ideal choice for an area near a garden path. The bench will be a great addition to your garden, but may not be very comfortable for long periods. A mossy plant underneath the bench will give it a cozy look. Consider a simple bench made from a bedpost if you don’t want to spend too much money.

Another garden bench idea? A work of art. If you're artistic, you can create a bench of your own using acrylic paint, mosaic tiles, or other materials. To make it as appealing and natural as possible, keep it simple and natural. Consider the surrounding environment when choosing colors. It will surprise you at how easily it blends with it. Once you've gotten the hang of it, you'll be ready to decorate your garden with a bench that suits your style and personality.

Bricks are another cheap and simple way to build a bench. For the legs, you can use bricks. Then you can place wood in the spaces between the bricks. You don't need a lot of money to buy a bench. Instead, reuse an old door or bed and make it into a garden bench. All you need to do is use some glue and wood blocks. This bench works well in a small yard.

How To

How to grow basil

Basil is one herb you can use to make many different dishes in your kitchen. Basil is great to add flavor to dishes, sauces or pastas. Here are some tips for growing basil indoors at home.

  1. Choose your location carefully. Basil is an annual plant and will only live one season if it's not in the right place. Basil is tolerant to partial shade, but it prefers full sun. If you want to grow it outside choose an area that is well-ventilated.
  2. Plant the seeds. Basil seeds should not be planted more than two weeks prior to the last frost date. Sow seeds 1/2 inch deep in small pots filled with potting mix. Place the pots in clear plastic wrap. Keep them out of direct sunlight. Germination can take up to ten days. Once the pots are germinated, you can move them to a place where temperatures remain around 70 degrees Fahrenheit.
  3. Once they are large enough to handle, transfer the seedlings. Place the seedlings in larger containers and remove the plastic wrap. To drain excess moisture, fill each container with potting mixture. You can add more potting mix if necessary. Place the containers in a sunny window or in indirect light. The plants should be misted daily to prevent them from wilting.
  4. Once the danger of frost is over, cover the plants with a thick mulch layer. This will keep them warm and prevent water loss.
  5. Water the plants regularly. Basil needs to be watered regularly in order for it to thrive. To determine how much water your plants require, use a rain gauge. A timer can be used to shut off the irrigation system when it is dry.
  6. When your basil reaches its peak, pick it. Pick the leaves regularly to encourage bushier, healthier growth.
  7. Use paper towels to dry leaves. The leaves can be stored in glass jars or bags in their refrigerator.
